The photos on this page are of some renovations to a very nice old Sarasota Bungalow style home that originally had a solid wall between the galley kitchen and the family/dining room. The homeowner wanted to create a more open feel to the home. Greenwood Home Services designed and created this very handsome eliptical arch header in wood with some relief profiles to create subtle shadow lines. The two part crown molding was continued through-out the home to create a flowing look of continuity. All components used in the construction of this wall and columns are real wood and then finish in satin enamel paint.

...what a transformation, from a plain solid plaster wall to a handsome architectural wall that has now become a focal point in the room. The cook is no longer isolated in a seperate cooking area. Food preparation and fine dining after all is the star of the show!
